Bio: Lisa Hersey operates a small edition bookbinding studio and workshop in Easthampton, MA called Antler Editions. Hersey specializes in creating custom enclosures for books and prints. What she loves most about bookbinding is creating tactile pieces of art that viewers can hold and interact with.

Challenge your concept of what a “book” is, by creating a tunnel book in this three hour class. This structure is made up of three layers of a scene, think background, middle ground and foreground. Looking into a tunnel book is like entering a small but long three dimensional world. This is a popular beginner artist book structure. All skill levels welcome, binding materials and tools provided. Students must bring their favorite dry media to work with. Students will be able to recreate this book at home.
